For this Photo shoot, myself and model Regi had agreed to take a variety of shots for the purposes of refreshing her portfolio. Regi has substantial experience of modelling and has in the past worked at Victoria’s Secret fashion events. She can also be seen in Hozier’s music video “Someone New” and has been in other videos with artists such as Sam Smith, Stereophonics, and Wiley.
On an overcast day in which the Sun dissappeared and appeared every other minute with sporadic bouts of rain, myself and Regi decided to try a variety of focal lengths, colour and contrast prioritised compositions and a few close-up shots. We decided to start off by shooting full length shots with punchy colours that complimented each other. Examples of our initial shots can be viewed below. Due to the unpredictable nature of the weather on the day of the shoot, we were limited by how much time we could spend outdoors and headed indoors get out of the rain.
Once indoors, we proceeded to continue with close up headshots in our studio (below). Here we measured and adjusted a multiple variables to ensure that our subject was kept sharp, well seperated from the background with shadows being kept soft.
Once we were done with close up shots, we then proceeded to take rear-lit 3/4 shots. Below are some of the shots we took.
Finally, We then did a shoot for evening look. Examples can be viewed below.
