Case Study: Photoshoot – Omar

Equipment used for this shoot:

Camera: Nikon Z6 Camera Body
Lenses: Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II
Lighting: Daylight

In the first of a series of Photoshoots, myself and Omar chose to experiment with a variety of looks. Working with private clients is always an interesting experience; Omar somewhat lacked the ability to define his own distinct style and therefore wanted to explore different outfits and see which types of looks were to his liking. In terms of posing Omar, he desired the focus of the shots be on his outfits so of course we had him stare off into the distance in order to leave his outfits open to the viewers interpretation. It should be noted that Omar has a piercing stare, so of course I insisted on the odd shot of him looking straight into the lens.

We started off with very simple outfits because Photo shoots and can be quite daunting for non-models! Below are a few of the shots we took from the first few photoshoots.

Once we got Omar settled in, we then looked to play around with some more stylish shots.

At the customers request, we used a cooler tint for the shots above; however using warmer tints work well too as can be seen from the shots below!

We then tested out close up shots with a more natural look.

Last but not least, one of the pleasures of taking good photos includes its versatility in how it can be used (below).
